BLACK
DAHLIA
BIOGRAPHY:
Black Dahlia
were formed in late 2001 by ex-Apathy
members Nick Hurren (bass), Andy Hush (guitar) & Geesh (drums), along with
John (vocals / guitar). A demo was recorded at Hurren's house in April 2002,
and the following month the band played their first gig. After a second gig
Andy quit the band, only returning to play a date in December. This time the
line-up was Hush (vocals / guitar), Hurren (vocals / bass) & Geesh (drums).
The success of the gig pursueded the band to carry on, and after an idle spell
in 2003, when only one gig was played, Geesh was replaced by Andy's brother,
Fraser. 2004 saw Black Dahlia venturing out into Glasgow, however work commitments
meant that the band faded away, and the Jodie Jones murder case also meant that
they reconsidered their choice of name.
