BIOGRAPHY:
Traditional folk outfit started in 1990 by Falkirk born ex-Waterboys
member Colin Blakey (flute / guitar / mandolin / vocals). He recruited a long
list of collaborators to record their only album, "The Roke", including
Phil Bull (cello, ex-We Free Kings),
Dave Robb (bouzoki), Geoff Pagan (violin, ex-We
Free Kings), Rob Welsh (digeridoo), Robbie The Pict (guitar), Lucy Johnstone
(vocals / guitar / percussion), Kenny Welsh (bodhran), Steve Bradley (harmonica),
Wendy Blakey (drums), Mark Ritchie (guitar, ex-We
Free Kings), Seb Holbrook (percussion, ex-We
Free Kings), Kirsten Webster (percussion), Julian Goodacre (scottish smallpipe),
Marshall Stormonth (vocals), Rob Blakey (clarinet), Billy Smith (violin), Pete
Livingstone (violin), Joe Kingman (mandolin, ex-We
Free Kings) & Shona McMillan (violin). Holbrook later formed The Dead
Plants and toured the world busking, whilst Blakey formed Orchestra
Macaroon.
