HAMILTON
BIOGRAPHY:
Hamilton was born in 1934 and took up the bagpipes at the age of 11. After a
lifetime playing in pipe bands, he aquired the job of resident piper at the
Gleneagles Hotel in 1994, where he played for the likes of the Queen, Bob Hope,
Lee Trevino & Jack Nicklaus. In 2005 Hamilton took the steps of recording
and releasing his own album of pipe music, "Tunes From The Glen",
recorded at East Kilbride Arts Centre by Pearlfishers
frontman Davy Scott (who also added piano & guitar). Hamilton was 71 at
the time!
