DEFECT

BIOGRAPHY:

Band formed around 1996 by ex-Toy guitarist Iain McMurtrie, along with Chris Campbell (Vocals), Johnny McCreath (guitar), Steven Fleming (bass) & Peter Flett (drums). After rehearsing and getting a setlist together the band played gigs throughout Falkirk, Stirling, Glasgow, & Aberdeen. A few line up changes throughout 1999 saw McCreath & Fleming replaced by Gavin Hynes (bass) and Reni Hill (guitar). Fleming went on to play guitar for Fiorina.
In 2000 the band made it to the finals of the "T In The Park" auditions but failed to win a place on the stage. A few gigs after this McMurtie played his last gig (unknown to the rest of the band) at The Cathouse in Glasgow. The band had slowed down, practises & gigs had became scarce. The band recruited guitarist Paul Livingston (ex-Diablo Terrano) to replace Hill, and changed their name to TV-K.
