The
ELLINGTONS
BIOGRAPHY:
The Ellingtons were a jazz / funk influenced act, formed in 1986 by John
Anderson (drums, ex-Gritt), Graeme Gillson
(bass), Stephen Myles (guitar), Alex Paterson (vocals) & Alan Stewart (guitar,
ex-Dutch). After playing a few dates towards
the end of that year, Gillson left in April 1987, turning up in The
Palmers a few years later. Anderson later formed The
Fugitive Kind, whilst Myles, Paterson & Stewart continued in a more jangly
indie guitar style as Funhouse.
