The FIGHTBACK
BIOGRAPHY:
Melodic
hardcore act formed early 2004 by Douglas Bruce (guitar), Mark Fraser (bass),
James McKean (vocals) & Glen Gardiner (drums). Influenced by the likes of
Faded Grey, Dag Nasty, Turning Point, Count Me Out, Minor Threat & Bad Brains
the band have rehearsed and gigged extensively since then, as well as recording
a demo CD which has sold well. The Fightback have opened for bands such as Champion,
Over My Dead Body, The Promise, Terror, Comeback Kid, Paint It Black, Maypole,
Fireapple Red, The Legacy and Righteous Jams.
In Summer 2004 Danny Nash (ex-7 Stone Lighter) joined the band, whilst in November
Gardiner left (to joijn Adeave) and
was replaced by Martin (Ex-Engage). When Nash quit in Spring 2005, Steve Meader
(ex-Sworn In) filled in for threeshows.
The band are now due to record a split 7" with The Legacy from Sheffield
and record their own 7-10 track MCD.
2006 saw the band play all over the UK, as well as signing toEnglish label Dead
and Gone Records. There are plans to release a 7" through them early in
2007, as well as a split 7" with US band Cash In on Assasinated Records
(USA).
