FIORINA

BIOGRAPHY:

Originally formed in 2004, and reaching their current line-up of Gaz (vocals), Steven Fleming (guitar, ex-Defect), Andy Green (bass, ex-Grain), Kev (drums) & Tam Connelly (guitar) in early 2005. Fiorina worked extremely hard on their overall sound prior to hitting the live scene. Through a fusion of eclectic influences and a shared love of brutal heavy metal, they have created a sound drawing mainly from metal and hardcore, which maintains a melodic edge whilst remaining separate from the stereotypical metalcore sound. They made their debut at Jacks Bar, Falkirk, in 2005.
Early 2006 saw the band record three tracks at Urban Studios in Glasgow, and also advertise for a drummer to replace the departed Kev. This led to the recruitment of Dutch exile Elwin, a veteran of various metal bands in Holland, on drums. This connection saw them play some dates in the Netherlands in November.
At some point both Gaz & Connelly also played with If Munki.
After a year of relative inactivity, Fiorina recorded some tracks at Urban Studios, Glasgow early in 2008 for a new release.
