IDIOTCUT

BIOGRAPHY:

Four piece band fromed in 2005 by Steven Jack (drums, ex-Adeave), Ross MacIntosh (guitar / vocals), Ross Anderson (vocals / electronics) & Andy Muirhead (bass, also with Let's Be Frank). In March 2006 Muirhead left and was replaced by Bryan Wyse (bass). In 2007 the band recorded a demo at Falkirk College. In August they played at an all-dayer at Pennies, Falkirk. In December 2007, they were handpicked by XFM to compete in the XFM Uploaded competition for that week, and with the song "Drink, Dance, Pull, Rewind." they won and received XFM airplay, and a spot on Jim Gellatly's Your Sound Set for that month. The band decided to continue into 2008, but called it a day in June, with Jack, Anderson & MacIntosh forming Mad For Sadness. In 2009 the three of them reformed Idiotcut, taking a more serious approach. This led to a support with Twin Atlantic, followed by the release of their debut CD, "Picture Imperfect", in 2010.
