THE INTERNATIONAL POP ASSASSINS
The International Pop Assassins have recruited Ross Cunningham to play drums. Cunningham also plays bass with The Vesparados.

DEATH BY TRIAL
Falkirk metal act Death By Trial have split. Vocalist Anto
is now singing with The Black Lodge, whilst drummer Colin has joined Glasgow band Lost Persona.

EVER THE OPTIMIST
Ever The Optimist have parted company with their guitarist, Gordon Miller. Replacements can contact the band through their MySpace site.

POPCORN SUPERHET
One man act Popcorn Superhet have released their debut EP, "Rage Rage". The release is available through their MySpace site.

Y'ALL IS FANTASY ISLAND
One the areas most rated bands, Y'all Is Fantasy Island, are due to release two albums this year. The first, "Rescue Weekend" is out on the 26th May, whilst the second, "No Ceremony", is due on the 27th October, and will feature the song "With Handclaps". The band also hope to issue the latter as a double A-Side single in the summer.

THE DEN

he Den is also opening up a shop in their premises exclusively for unsigned artists and bands to sell their CD's, mainly because there isn't a readily available place to get them in Falkirk since the closure of Sleeves. All bands from the Falkirk area can drop off their CDs and details at the coffee house to either Iain or Davide.

THE VALENTINES
Local act The Valentines have won the final of the Council won Rock Project Battle Of The Bands at the Barrowlands, Glasgow.

CATCH 22
Catch 22 are due to release their debut single, "That's The Way", in April 2008. It is unclear what format the single will take.


PEYOTE
A brand new falkirk band, describing themselves as a cross between punk / ska / reggae / hip-hop, are looking for a drummer. They say "No real requirements, just that you're confident in your abilities. interest in bands such as Sublime, The Doors, LBDA, OPM, Sugar Ray, Ben Folds Five would help but not nescessary. AKOLAYD
Grangemouth band Akolayd have recruited a new drummer in the form of Keith Thompson, formely of Little Joe Crow & Plan B. He replaces Ryan Yule, who was filling in for the band after Thomas McClung left.
