WADE
BIOGRAPHY:
Wade
were formed in 2002 by Jock McLay (guitar, ex-Giant),
Alan Scobbie (vocals), Wilson Gill (guitar / vocals,
ex-Giant),
Jamie Mina (guitar) & Elliot Winchcole (drums, ex-Getting
Serious). In
2003 they were due to appear as part of the "Way To Blue" festival,
but had to cancel because their drummer had punched his oven shortly before it
(don't ask!) and his hand was in ribbons! The band did play a few gigs at King
Tuts (including support for Paloalto), the Venue, Dobbie Hall, and two gigs in
London at Cherry Jam & Sound. They released three EP's: "Circus Lane",
"The Last Walk" & "Ready to Unwind", and received some
radio
play from Jim Gellatly, Central FM and on Australian radio after a track,
"Inner City", was featured on a compilation of up and coming bands.
The band split up just shortly after being offered some support slots with DF
Concerts, including three dates with Longview.
Scobbie then joined Tenbobslider, whilst McLay
& Gill formed No 13 Baby.
